The Assumption Life directors have elected Andrée Savoie to the head of the board last Friday after the recent annual general meeting.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Andrée Savoie is a well-known entrepreneur in the Acadian community. She is currently the co-owner and CEO of Adelin Properties Ltd., which is based in Moncton. From 1999 to 2015, Andrée Savoie held various positions and contributed to the success of the family business, Acadian Construction Ltd., as one of its co-owners.
An engineer by training, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill University and a Master's degree in Applied Science from the University of Ottawa.
She is a member of many associations and affiliations, including the Conseil économique du Nouveau-Brunswick, the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Moncton, the Institute of Corporate Directors, where she holds the ICD.D designation, and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick.
Andrée Savoie is active within her community contributing to the well-being of its members by being involved in many activities and initiatives. Among others, she is a member of the Université de Moncton’s Evolution Fundraising Campaign Cabinet and is the Vice-President of the board of directors of the Greater Moncton Y.M.C.A. Foundation. She also sits on the board of the National Bank of Canada.

At the annual general meeting held on February 22, the company highlighted the departure of past president Jacques Valotaire. During the next year, he will serve as a director. It was also announced that Bernard Tanguay is joining the board of directors as a director.
