Sébastien Dupuis

With a bachelor of business administration degree from the Université de Moncton, Sébastien Dupuis joined Assumption Life in 2001 as a financial analyst, a position he held until October 2005, when he was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. From the beginning, Mr. Dupuis has distinguished himself and became Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer in 2015. Since January 2019, he is the President and CEO of Assumption Life.

With his rigour, analytical skills and exemplary leadership, Sébastien Dupuis is well liked and respected by his colleagues. In 2005 and 2011, he received the Manager of the Year award during Assumption Life’s Excellence Awards ceremony.

In 2012, he attended the Governor General's Canadian Leadership Conference. 

In addition to his professional commitments, Mr. Dupuis gives back to the community wholeheartedly. He has, since the beginning of his career, committed his time to many regional and provincial socio-economic activities. He currently serves on the board of directors of the CHU Dumont Foundation Hospital, the Friends of the Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre and the Go Dieppe community group.

Daniel Audet

Daniel Audet became Vice-President of Individual Insurance and Investments at Assumption Life in June 2017. He has a Bachelor of Mathematics from Université Laval and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa, in addition to 30 years of experience in insurance and financial services.

He has worn many hats over the course of his career, for both insurance companies and financial services firms, in the areas of actuarial services, business development, consultation and marketing.

Mr. Audet taught at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University on a part-time basis. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, currently known as Advocis, and as a trustee for the Institute for Advanced Financial Education.

Michel Allain

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary

A committed professional with Assumption Life since 1999, Mr. Allain has been Vice President since 2012. He and his team are responsible for the sound management of the company's actuarial operations.

He is responsible for the company's corporate actuarial activities, including management of assets and liabilities, and ensures that development work in all sectors (life insurance, group insurance and financial services) is of superior quality.

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Vestcor Inc. He also serves as an advisor to the New Brunswick Economic Council. Mr. Allain holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Université Laval. He is also a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA). 
 

Réjean Boudreau

Vice-President, Chief of Organizational Development

A senior executive with Assumption Life for over 20 years, Mr. Boudreau is recognized as an exemplary leader, and was the recipient of the 2014 Manager of the Year award. He has a remarkable background of 30 years of experience in the field of human resources.

His ability to motivate people and rally them towards a common goal is highlighted in his role as Vice President, Chief of Organizational Development at Assumption Life.

In this role, he is responsible for the sound management of human resources, corporate communications and the sponsorship and donations program, and oversees the remuneration of a network of 7,000 brokers.

In addition to his professional background, Mr. Boudreau is very involved in his community, with organizations such as Place aux Competences and with the Cooperative Movement, as Chairman of the Board of the Coopérative jeunesse de services de Dieppe (Dieppe youth service cooperative), Secretary and Treasurer of the Fonds intercoopératif de développement-Acadie (Acadian inter-cooperative development Fund) and secretary of the Board of Directors of the Coopérative de développement régional Acadie (Acadia regional development cooperative).

Mr. Boudreau holds a Bachelor's degree in Administration from the Université de Moncton, and also holds the professional designation of CHRP in human resources management. 

Rachelle Gagnon

Vice-President, Administration and Client Experience

Ms. Gagnon's current position relates to the administrative, medical selection, claims and customer service teams for the company's three business lines: individual insurance, group insurance and investments and retirement. She has held this position since March 2015, but for 10 years, she held the position of Chief of Organizational Development and director of human resources with the company. Prior to joining Assumption Life nearly 20 years ago, Rachelle worked for six years in the federal public service, at the Canada Employment Centre, now known as Service Canada. She is past president of the Human Resources Association of New Brunswick, which has over 1,000 members working as HR professionals in New Brunswick. In 2012, she received the Excellence in HR Award for Atlantic Canada.

She is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors of Alcool NB Liquor, a Crown Corporation of the Province of New Brunswick. She is also the founder of Groupe 100 pour 100, a group of Francophone women whose goal is to support charitable organizations in the region. She has also served on various boards including Service NB, and was appointed by the Premier of New Brunswick in ​​2015 to the Advisory Committee on the Strategic Review of Provincial Debt Reduction Programs.

She has taught part-time in Human Resources Management at the Université de Moncton, the University of New Brunswick and the Dieppe campus of New Brunswick Community College. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a certificate in public administration from the Université de Moncton and UNB respectively, as well as an MBA obtained through the University of Moncton's part-time program. She has also held her life insurance agent's licence since 2011.

Stéphane C. Godbout

Stéphane Godbout has been Vice-President, IT and Chief Digital Officer at Assumption Life since September 2017. His responsibilities include developing the company’s technology, innovation and digital transformation strategy.

With a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of New Brunswick and an MBA from Saint-Mary’s University, Mr. Godbout has had an impressive career and, over the course of 25 years, has acquired broad-based knowledge of the worlds of business and technology through the management positions he has held.
 
His career has afforded him the opportunity to play important roles in managing large and
complex IT environments across a broad range of businesses, including public sector, mining, gaming and oil and gas.
