Assumption Life becomes the first life insurance company in Canada to obtain B Corp certification

Assumption Life has just obtained B Corp certification. It is the first life insurance manufacturer in Canada and the 200th Canadian company to obtain this certification.
 
B Corp certification is awarded to a company that works to improve the economic and social well-being of its community, and fosters the promotion of shared and sustainable prosperity. Companies that have achieved B Corp certification are built by innovative entrepreneurs that create companies that contribute to the well-being of society and the environment. This goal is an integral component of their business model and is reflected in their activities.
